Amber Essential Oil – Pinus Succinefera (Amber) Oil
Short Description
A rare, natural essential oil obtained from fossilized conifer resin through dry distillation. Deeply smoky, resinous, and woody — Natroil’s pure Amber Essential Oil is a captivating base note and exceptional natural fixative prized in perfumery.
Full Description
Natroil’s Amber Essential Oil (CAS 8002-67-3, INCI: Pinus Succinefera (Amber) Oil) is a truly rare and natural essence derived from fossilized tree resin—the ancient sap of Pinus succinefera, a prehistoric conifer species.
Mined from the majestic Himalayan ranges of India, this resin—also known as Retinite—has matured over millions of years, forming a golden, gem-like material rich in aromatic compounds. Through the traditional method of dry distillation, the fossilized resin is carefully heated at around 350 °C without oxygen, releasing a dark, viscous oil of remarkable depth and tenacity.
The resulting aroma is intensely smoky, resinous, and woody, with subtle balsamic and leathery undertones. This oil is not a synthetic or compounded amber blend but a pure distillate of genuine fossilized material.
In perfumery, Amber Essential Oil is revered as an excellent base note and natural fixative, grounding compositions with its warmth and longevity. It blends harmoniously with sandalwood, vetiver, frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, benzoin, and vanilla.
